It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Joe Klein, but Nancy Gibbs stands just as high in my regard. As justification (as if any is needed) I offer her latest masterpiece: Cash for Clunkers: The Bribery Stimulus. I’m increasingly concerned by what is happening on the American scene. Gibbs provides but one example of how this once great nation is slipping into decline as all corrupt empires always have.
